From supermarket collections to cake sales, zumba classes or headshaves, it's not a coincidence that the word 'fun' is in fundraising! And why not choose to do whatever you're planning for The Institute of Cancer Research?
Our scientists and clinicians are working in our labs every day to make the discoveries that defeat cancer, and we rely on generous fundraisers like you to help fund our world-leading cancer research.
Whatever you choose to do, we want to make fundraising for the ICR as easy (and fun) as possible. If you're not sure yet what you would like to do, check out our A-Z of fundraising ideas. This was put together by the experts (us!), and we're pretty sure we've covered all bases.
Remember though, if you have an idea that isn't on the A-Z, we would still love for you to do it for us and will support you however we can!
Need some more inspiration? Here's what our fundraisers had to say:
"I went to my local curry house one evening and got chatting to the owners. By the time I’d left I had bought every seat in the house for the last day of February and had agreed to sell off the tickets to friends and family. We had an amazing evening - I held an auction for random items that people had brought along, including selling a banana for £12! Including ticket sales and a slice of the booze profits we raised £550." - James Fuller, who held a curry night at his local curry house.
"The dinner party was brilliant – I think everyone had a nice time, the food turned out well and I raised £175 on the night! I had a couple of last minute drop outs, so I am really pleased with that! My employer will also match fund this, so that's almost £400 raised!" - Vicki Hackett, who held a dinner party at her house.
