Terry Fox started a marathon against cancer. Together we can finish it.
The Terry Fox Run UK returns in 2026 after a very successful 2025, with over 1,000 attendees in Battersea Park. We will be announcing official race details for 2026 soon, so keep your eyes peeled!
Run with us in Central London or at one of our six regional events next year, to help us transform the future of cancer treatment. Let’s finish cancer together.
Learn more about Terry Fox’s story and our events.
Canadian hero Terry Fox knew about challenges and how to overcome them.
Terry lost his leg to osteogenic sarcoma, a rare bone cancer. 40 years ago he ran 3,339 miles over 143 days on one leg to raise awareness and money for cancer research. His dream to run across Canada was cut short after his cancer spread to his lungs and he died aged 22.
Terry’s ‘Marathon of Hope’ continues to inspire people in Canada and beyond to raise money for cancer research. So far over £500million has been raised in Terry’s name in runs across the world.
The event is free to enter, non-competitive and open to all. We just ask you to raise as much as you can. All funds raised in Terry Fox Run UK will support our work.
