The unit is a skilled team of staff who together have several decades’ experience in collaborating and contracting with commercial organisations and ICR scientists – turning our discoveries into patient benefits.
The Enterprise Unit is one of the most successful teams of its type in the UK, playing a major role in making the ICR the UK’s leading research institute for research impact and commercialisation as well as one of the world’s most innovative academic organisations.
The unit is led by Dr Angela Kukula and includes expert Business Development and Clinical Trials Contracts teams.
Our work to commercialise our discoveries is governed by our commercialisation philosophy and principles, with income we make largely ploughed back into our research.
Our work with industry is broad, encompassing early-stage partnering and collaboration cancer research, licenses leading out of our work, and scientific consultancy. We have current agreements with more than 200 companies, from major global pharmaceutical companies to small and local biotech and MedTech businesses.
We currently have a number of partnering and licensing opportunities in therapeutics, targets, diagnostic biomarkers, devices, and platform or software applications. If you are interested in working with us, please contact [email protected], or call 020 8722 4030.
