Please join us for our second annual evening of spring time opera and song in aid of The Institute of Cancer Research.
There will once again be a very special programme featuring our illustrious cast of singers, which this year includes Christine Rice, Matthew Rose and Mary Bevan, all under the baton of Music Director, Will Vann.
Mary Bevan (soprano) enjoys huge success in baroque, classical, and contemporary repertoire, and appears regularly with leading orchestras and ensembles around the globe.
Christine Rice is one of the leading British mezzo sopranos of her generation. A regular performer at the major European opera houses, she has built a reputation both as a singing actress and a Handelian of the highest order.
Matthew Rose is one of the finest operatic basses of his time. Appearing at many of the world’s great opera houses, including the Royal Opera House, the Metropolitan Opera, the Opéra National de Paris, English National Opera, Deutsche Oper, and Glyndebourne.
You will spend the evening in the stunning surroundings of Spencer House, acclaimed for its architecture and elegant interiors. We will start with champagne and canapés before moving into the Great Room for the recital.
Afterwards, there will be drinks and canapés in the Dining Room and terrace overlooking the gardens and The Green Park. The event will finish at around 9pm.
