IMRT for gynaecological cancer workshop

Course overview

This is a new one day interactive workshop intended to provide technical and practical insight into the use of IMRT for the treatment of gynaecological cancer. It is aimed at Consultants and Senior oncology trainees.

The course will include topics on Imaging of the pelvic anatomy, optimisation of target volume localization, and target volume definition for adjuvant and primary treatments. There will be assisted contouring of tumour and critical organ exercises, IMRT planning, discussion of dose targets, dose constraints and OAR tolerances. Discussion on image guidance protocols and the impact of identified changes in target volume and OAR.
