Scientific computing service

The scientific computing service provides support to researchers across The Institute of Cancer Research who use complex and large scale IT systems for their research.

Facilities in the service includes several high performance computing (HPC) systems, with around 2,000 cores available in total. There is also a petabyte-scale storage system for research data.

Scientific Computing provide many other services, including support for scientific software, linux servers and desktops, software for scientific instrumentation, and training and consultation.

There is also an active user community, which meets regularly and allows researchers from different areas of the ICR to share knowledge and best practice.

For more information, please contact the facility manager, Dr Jon Lockley.
