The team investigates aspects of technology and patient care. Professor McNair's research has been centred on assessing techniques to improve accuracy and precision of radiotherapy delivery and is currently investigating the optimal delivery of real time adaptive radiotherapy.

This includes measuring efficacy and efficiency, as well as patient and radiographer acceptability, which will enable the reduction of normal tissue toxicity, escalation of dose, and thereby the improvement of patient outcomes.
