HR Excellence in Research

We are committed to attracting, developing and retaining the best minds in the world.

The Institute of Cancer Research is educating the next generation of cancer research scientists and we have an excellent reputation for developing Postdoctoral Research Fellows. We are committed to meeting the 'Best Practice' standards of the 2008 Concordat to support the Career Development of Researchers.

We retained HR Excellence in Research Award from the European Commission in 2015, after a four-year external review confirmed that we "thoughtfully review and define appropriate strategies and actions", and that we "make progress on these strategies, with an impact for research staff".

The award was reviewed and renewed in 2016.
