Tumour Profiling Unit

We are establishing a Tumour Profiling Unit which will analyse patients’ tumours, helping us to understand the genetics and biology of the tumour cells better.

This new facility is central to our strategy to develop personalised medicine and will be relevant to our research across a range of cancer types, including prostate, breast, sarcomas and blood cancers, as well as childhood cancers.

To establish the Tumour Profiling Unit over an initial three year period, we need to raise £3.2 million to meet the costs of the scientists, to renovate existing laboratory space, to buy and install specialist equipment, and to provide the consumables essential to the running of a laboratory.
