Support Us

One in three of us will develop cancer in our lifetime.  Even if we are not directly affected, almost all of us will be moved by the pain and suffering cancer causes to a relative or friend.

Our scientists and clinicians are working every day in our labs – in Chelsea, London and Sutton, Surrey – to make a real impact on cancer patients’ lives. Through our unique partnership with The Royal Marsden NHS foundation Trust and ‘bench-to-bedside’ approach, we are able to create and deliver results in a way that other institutions cannot. Together, we are rated in the top four cancer centres globally.

The ICR has an unrivalled track record in cancer research going back over 100 years. Having provided the first convincing evidence that DNA damage is the basic cause of cancer, we laid the foundation for the now universally accepted idea that cancer is a genetic disease. Today we lead the world in isolating cancer-related genes and discovering new targeted drugs for personalised cancer treatment.

The continuing support of our partners, grant-makers and donors is essential as we seek to fulfill our mission to make the discoveries that defeat cancer.
