Will For Free

Thousands of people all over the UK have used our Will for Free scheme to make or update their Will and support the ICR in the process.

If you are over 50 the Will for Free scheme gives you the opportunity to get independent, professional advice and allows you to make a basic Will or update an existing one at no cost to you.

The cost of the Will is covered by the ICR and although are not obliged to leave a legacy, the majority of people who use the scheme do choose to support our work in this way.

Apply

If you would like to use our Will for Free scheme please contact the legacy team who provide you with an information leaflet and a list of participating solicitors in your area.

Terms and Conditions

  • You or your partner must be over 50 in order for you to qualify for the Will for Free scheme.
  • The ICR will cover a cost of a standard single or mirror Will up to a maximum agreed limit (£100 plus VAT for a single Will and £160 plus VAT for a mirror Will).  You should clarify these costs with your solicitor on your first visit as you may have to pay for any costs that exceed this limit.
  • In order for the ICR to cover the cost of your Will you must complete, sign and date a ‘Will for Free Participant Information Form’ (included on the Will For Free information leaflet) which your solicitor will return to us on completion of your Will along with the invoice for the costs incurred, which you also need to sign and date.
