Christopher's Smile fund new ICR scientist
Christopher's Smile have funded the appointment of a researcher dedicated to paediatric cancers, enabling children participating in clinical trials to receive more targeted treatment. Their donations will also enable us to acquire a specialised microscope to aid this research.
Centre for Cancer Imaging campaign launches with £2m pledge
We are extremely grateful to the Wolfson Foundation – renowned for its generous support for excellence in research - for kick-starting our £10m campaign with an award of up to £2m.
The six-storey building will house 130 researchers and an array of the most advanced imaging equipment to help us look inside a cancer and more completely understand how it works and how it is responding to potential treatments.
Special Events
The ICR hosted a successful autumn programme of special events, including the Ladies Breakfast and Shopping Event at Harvey Nichols and the Launch of the Discovery Club at the Science Museum.
