Next Generation Sequencing Pipelines and Meta Analysis

Together with the integration of the basic free software analysis pipeline, Cancer Informatics has developed and integrated a range of data analysis solutions. The NGS technology is versatile and can be applied to a range of applications. The sheer quantity of data produced and the broad range of NGS experiment types necessitates the implementation of backup strategies and metadata logging. This functionality is provided through the ROCK database.

Available open source software has been integrated into functional analysis pipelines that reflect the range of applications.  Appropriate software is being developed to allow ROCK database integration, as well as user interaction with the datasets.  In addition new analysis strategies will be investigated; particularly where algorithm optimisation requires advanced usage of the Sun Grid Engine.  This phase will be driven by the experimental analysis needs of the Breakthrough/ICR NGS users.

We will also extend any pipelines developed in house, to integrate signalling network analysis and visualisation.
