The team is working on a number of projects in collaboration with a number of core clinical fellows, linking the Section of Medicine to other Institute Sections.
The Prostate Cancer Team is jointly responsible for the in collaboration with members of the Clinical Pharmacology/Trials Team in the Cancer Research UK Centre for Cancer Therapeutics. In conjunction with the Centre for Cancer Therapeutics, the clinical drug development team has now established one of the largest Phase I trial programmes in Europe. Many first-in-human clinical trials of molecularly targeted agents aimed at growth factor or intracellular signalling, angiogenesis, apoptosis, cancer epigenetics as well as DNA repair and the metastasis process are currently being conducted.
