We are studying the molecular events that determine the sexual development of the mammalian embryo. Many aspects of sexual development are dependent on the action of sexual hormones and our studies focus on how the steroid-producing cells arise and function in the gonad and adrenal and how male specific steroids regulate the development of the prostate.
