We are a computational biology team developing and applying algorithms for integrative network and systems biology. Our long-term goal is to understand cellular information processing to the degree where we can predict and model the trajectory a biological system will follow in time, disease and response space given its current signaling state. My team will develop algorithms that in combination with quantitative mass-spectrometry, phenotyping and other types of network data will enable systems modelling of cancer progression and
metastasis.
The team will utilise network information for drug development. In particular we wish to derive protein sub-networks specific to certain cancers and their progression to predict combination cancer therapies.
Our hypothesis is that protein signalling networks are the true specificity encoding entities in malignant system and thus will be powerful drug targets.
The team is currently looking for highly qualified and motivated postdoctoral fellows; please email a CV and three letters of recommendations to Dr Rune Linding.
