Involvement of enzymes controlling inositol-lipid signalling in processes underlying generation and progression of tumours has been supported by numerous findings. However, the mechanisms, extent and importance of these proteins in subverting cell proliferation, growth and motility in different types of tumours remains unclear. Our aim is to, by combining different experimental approaches, provide new insights into mechanisms of regulation and deregulation of inositol-lipid signalling.
