CASCARA: Costs And Supportive CAre in bReast cAncer

What’s the study about?

The aim of this on-line survey is to find out about the hidden financial costs and supportive care needs experienced by those with breast cancer. We hope that by raising awareness of these hidden costs and supportive care needs, we can drive change towards better support for people with breast cancer and their families.

We would like people with lived experience of breast cancer (including patients, relatives and friends who have cared for someone with breast cancer) to tell us their experiences about these issues.

A series of focus groups were held to co-develop the patient survey with people with lived experience of breast cancer. This work is supported by Breast Cancer Now.

Who’s organising it?

Name of individuals: Dr Indrani S Bhattacharya

Name of organisations: Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
and the Clinical Trials and Statistics Unit at the Institute of Cancer Research, on behalf of the Lancet Breast Cancer Commission
