Clinical trials methodology research at ICR-CTSU

Our applied methodology research portfolio investigates best practice in trial design, conduct, analysis and reporting.

We specialise in applied methodology research which allows exploration and delivery of complex trials applicable in the real-world to benefit people affected by cancer and improve the quality of future oncology research, while also assessing innovative methodology approaches.  Areas of interest include:

The DEFINE study: Guidance for early-phase dose finding trials

This project aims to develop guidance on protocol content and reporting of early-phase trials.

The DEFINE study

The electronic patient reported outcomes (ePRO) project

With the ePRO project, we aim to develop best practice for data collection directly from our trial participants.

Equality, diversity and inclusion research

We want to make sure our trials are inclusive and accessible to everyone affected by cancer, no matter their background, ethnic group or personal circumstances.
