Working in London

The Natural History Museum

The Natural History Museum

The Institute of Cancer Research has two sites in South Kensington; the purpose-built Chester Beatty Laboratories on Fulham Road and the administrative headquarters on Old Brompton Road.

The Chester Beatty Laboratories are home to the Toby Robins Breakthrough Breast Cancer Centre and the Divisions of Breast Cancer Research, Cancer Biology and Structural Biology.

The ICR site also houses an extensive research library with electronic and print journals, databases and e-books, and a staff restaurant serving hot and cold foods, snacks and beverages throughout the day.

South Kensington itself boasts a wide range of bars and restaurants and provides ready access to three major national museums: the Science Museum, Natural History Museum and the Victoria and Albert Museum. Landmarks such as Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens are within walking distance, while Piccadilly Circus and the West End are a few stops away by bus or tube.
