The ICR’s mission emphasises its role in educating the next generation of cancer research scientists and it has an excellent reputation for developing Postdoctoral Research Fellows. We are currently undertaking research into ways we can further assist all scientific staff with their career development and are committed to meeting the 'Best Practice' standards of the 2008 Concordat to support the Career Development of Researchers.
There are frequent internal seminars and guest lectures from some of the leading authorities in cancer research.
To achieve our objectives, we aim to provide scientists with the funding, support and environment they need in order to excel.
The ICR’s Training and Development team provide a variety of resources to assist individuals with personal development including courses in interpersonal skills, management development and information technology as well as a number of on-line programmes.
