Breaking Barriers

Breaking Barriers is a CD-ROM program on cancer-related pain management. It is intended to improve understanding of the problem of cancer pain and to demonstrate, in a unique visual way, the latest advances in recognition, assessment and treatment of this symptom.

Using interactive graphics and case studies, Breaking Barriers outlines the most recent advances in understanding the causes of cancer pain, and then describes a management strategy that emphasises a holistic approach.

Breaking Barriers was the winner of the 2009 Pfizer Excellence in Oncology award for Best Professional Initiative in Oncology.
