Interactive Education Unit
The award-winning Interactive Education Unit (IEU) is part of the ICR’s Graduate School. The IEU promotes and disseminates the educational, research and clinical activities of the ICR, in order to improve the treatment, care and quality of life for people with cancer.
The IEU endeavours to fulfil this aim by exploiting new media to enhance the education of cancer specialist researchers and clinicians, and has a number of key objectives:
- Research and develop materials to support learning and teaching for postgraduate students and scientific and medical staff at the ICR
- Explore potential new areas that lend themselves to an interactive approach
- Exploit new technologies in the development of learning materials
- Enhance the ICR’s reputation for postgraduate learning and teaching within the UK and internationally
- Raise the profile of learning and teaching both internally and externally
- Promote both internal and external links and partnerships and in particular, utilise the ICR’s association with the Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust
