E-learning

Effective learning takes place using a variety of media: from books and journals to videos and online discussion. Our e-learning resources allow students and healthcare professionals to fit their formal education around their experiments and clinical commitments.
The ICR has a strong history of using technology to support learning. Our award-winning resources on cancer symptom management help healthcare professionals to develop best practice in treatment and palliative care. Our Perspectives in Oncology website provides both students and staff with a thorough grounding in the theory and practice of cancer science. The specialist postgraduate students studying for our MSc in Oncology benefit from access to course materials via our virtual learning environment, cancer.ed.
As the ICR moves into its second century, we see e-learning as an essential tool to support learning and professional development, as outlined in our e-Learning Strategy. Our e-learning team works alongside students, researchers and healthcare professionals to explore new technologies and ways of providing engaging teaching and support to learners.
