To be eligible for the MD(Res) a candidate must either:

Have obtained the MBBS degrees of the University of London or some other registerable primary qualification in Medicine and be eligible for full registration or hold limited registration with the General Medical Council
Have obtained the BDS degree of the University of London and/or be eligible for registration with the General Dental Council

All candidates must apply to register with by completing and submitting the following documents to the registry:

Registration form countersigned by the Section Chairman/Department Head and supervisors
An outline project proposal signed and approved by the Section Chairman/Department Head
A supervisor form
Written confirmation from the Section Chairman/Department Head that funding is available for a minimum period of two years at the ICR
Certified copies (or originals) of the degree certificate for the primary qualification in Medicine and GMC registration certificate
Copy of CV
Valid passport
