Clinical Trainee Opportunities
The Institute of Cancer Research (ICR) and Royal Marsden Hospitals NHS Trust (RMH) have a number of opportunities available as the result of the development of clinical academic training streams arising from national implementation of the recommendations for Modernising Medical Careers (MMC) and changes to clinical training programmes.

Taught Postgraduate Degree - MSc in Oncology
For medically qualified candidates who intend to pursue a professional career in some aspect of clinical or medical oncology.
Clinical trainees wishing to undertake a period of research leading to a higher degree can select from a 2-year clinically-focussed research project leading to the MD(Res) or a 3-year laboratory-based project leading to a PhD.
MRC, Wellcome Trust and CR-UK all have schemes to which you can apply to support your studies. If you are interested in applying, you should contact the member of Faculty with whom you would like to work in the first instance.
Alternatively, you can apply for the ICR Wellcome Trust Clinical PhD programme.
