Honorary doctorates
At the Award Ceremony the ICR also recognises the contribution to research made by distinguished individuals by presenting them with an honorary doctorate. Honorands give an address after they have been presented with their awards.
After the ceremony
The event concludes with the Academic Procession leaving the Hall. Graduates should follow, whilst guests remain seated.
Once the Academic Procession and Graduates leave the Hall, a group photograph is taken on the stairs outside the Hall. The photographer will be waiting outside and instruct graduates to take their position for the photograph.
There follows a reception in the Beveridge Hall.
Graduates and members of the Academic Procession may leave immediately after the event.
Please return your gown to the Ede and Ravenscroft staff. All gowns must be returned by 18.00.
