Annual Research Report 2010/11
We have just launched our Joint Annual Research Report for 2010/11 online for the first time. Our Report is a joint venture with our partner The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust.
This online report highlights important achievements and significant progress in our joint mission to translate advances in cancer research into real benefits for patients with cancer around the world.
This year our Report comprises:
- Short films on our joint research strategy, the Centre for Molecular Pathology and the huge success of abiraterone in the treatment of advanced prostate cancer.
- Audio slide presentations overviewing the Prostate Cancer Genetic Predisposition Programme, and some of the advances in radiotherapy that have helped to improve patient outcome.
- Other highlights include articles on our cancer drug discovery and development activity; targeting BRAF and KIT mutations in melanoma; synthetic lethality in colorectal cancer; and the pioneering ‘active surveillance’ approach to managing prostate cancer.
